Twitter is a large platform that it being used by tens of millions of users every day. There are public conversations happening daily around your product or business. If you’re not active on Twitter, you are missing out!
While Facebook seems to be getting a lot of the hype today, Twitter is still a major force in the social media market for 2 reasons.
Twitter is the BEST a platform for live events and breaking news. Within seconds, hundreds of people will be tweeting about a touchdown in a sporting event, or about the newest episode of the Walking Dead.
Another reason Twitter is so great is that it has active public conversations that anyone can join in. Facebook’s content tends to be private and limited to friends and family. It is not easy to search for topics or conversations. On Twitter, it is easy. I have by far had a much better time reaching out to influencers on Twitter than Facebook or most other major networks.
So, the opportunity is there, but It’s up to you to take advantage of it.
